Increase Agricultural Productivity with Nursery Greenhouses

Agriculture is the mainstay of the population of India. In the past, as per a statement by the World Bank, the slow growth rate of India’s agriculture production was a concern for the policy makers as the two thirds of the Indian population are dependent on agriculture and cultivation. Currently, India is witnessing an accelerated economic growth and agriculture. However, the methods of cultivation practiced currently are not viable and sustainable for the future.

Over the years we have developed the nursery greenhouse technology to improve the production of plants, fruits and vegetables which are required throughout the year. The nursery greenhouses facilitate the cultivators or farmers to produce some of the important crops in regions where climatic conditions are extreme.

Saveer Biotech India offers a range of nursery greenhouses. These nursery greenhouses and the in house research and development unit of Saveer Biotech India are recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Govt. of India.

The nursery greenhouses of Saveer Biotech India are helping farmers in planning the sowing, production and harvesting time for the crops. With the help of nursery greenhouses farmers can grow not just fruits, vegetables, but flowers and forest saplings as well. Nursery greenhouses also produce an excellent grade of seedlings for the farmers.

In Saveer Biotech, the seedlings are produced in root trainers of various sizes. The sizes vary as per the requirement of seedlings produced. The seedling produced in Saveer Biotech’ nursery greenhouses is consistent with their growth and the proper use of root trainers ensures better rate of survival of seedlings after the transplantation.

Using nursery greenhouses, farmers can increase the productivity of their agricultural produce by 10-12 percent. However, the overall productivity of the agricultural produce also depends on other factors such as the soil quality, the quality of seeds used, etc.

While installing nursery greenhouses, farmers must ensure factors such as maintaining the ideal temperature of the greenhouse required as per the crop grown in the greenhouse. Secondly, the location of greenhouses should be such that they should not be shaded with the trees or buildings nearby. Thirdly, it is important to improve the internal air circulation of the greenhouses, the same can achieved by installing either fans or air conditioners in the green houses.

Lastly, the infrastructure set up in terms of electricity, water supply should be ample for the smooth functioning of the nursery greenhouses.
